| 1- Derecha de los Alemanes | |||||||
Popular right hander breaking over reef with fast and slow sections. This wave starts working with N or NW swells of any size and southerly winds. Always crowded |
|||||||
| 2 - Izquierda | |||||||
As the name says, this (long!) left is the direct neighbour of the right! The powerful and fast wave starts working under the same conditions as the right. Crowded on weekends |
|||||||
| 3 - The Bubble | |||||||
Also known as Derecha, this exceptional wave needs bigger swells… The Bubble is one of the most consistent waves of the North Shore that can give you some tubey rides! Low tide is the best, but mid to high tide is less critical. The wave is not that long but extremely powerfulm, hollow and fast! Because of the sharp and shallow volcanic reef, wipe-outs can be painful. Starts working with N or NW swells and southerly winds. Preferred by the locals! |
|||||||
| 4 - Majanicho | |||||||
If you drive from Lajares straight to the north coast, you directly enter Majanicho, a godforsaken fishing village. The bay around the village provides several reef breaks. The outside wave starts working with N, NE or NW swells. With southerly winds the left gives you long rides inside the bay. If the winds are more easterly the right can give you tubey rides and a face for some manoeuvres. If the swell is big enough, the both inside points start working. High tide is best! If its low tide mistakes can put you and your board in contact with the reef. |

| 5 - Mehjillones | |||||||
This world-class bigwave sucks up the most water (the strongest current), catches the most- and holds up to the biggest swells. This wave is a hollow, powerful and fast right- and lefthander that works at all tides with a N swell and E or SE winds. For experienced surfers only! |

| 6 - Suicidos | |||||||
To the right of Mehjillones is a hollow, powerful kamikaze right and lefthander! Most of us are better off by watching this place. With all the rocks close to the take off zone this is not a easy wave. Preferred by local body boarders this wave works best on mid to high tide with bigger N swells and southerly winds. If you muck up the take of it can get nasty! |
|||||||
| 7 - Generoso | |||||||
Nice slow to fast lefthander that breaks on volcanic lava reef. This wave needs high tide, winds from S, SE or W and a solid N, NW or a big west swell! The phenomenon of this wave: its seldom crowded even if its good (cause everybody drives by towards Hierro!). But if you the first in there be sure the herd will follow you, because the spot is directly situated on the north track! By recognizing your car, everybody will stop to have a closer look at the conditions. |
|||||||
| 8 - Bristol/Shooting Gallery | |||||||
Situated directly at the beginning of the north track this spot can get hollow and fast low tide. If the water comes up the wave gets easier and “rounder”. The spot needs winds from E and S plus a bigger N, NE swell. Because of its proximity to Corralejo this spot can get pretty crowded with locals! |
|||||||
| 9 - Harbour Wall | |||||||
Also known as El Muelle this spot lies behind Corralejo`s jetty and is a popular left point break that works best at low tide. The wave starts working with solid swells freom N, NE and NW with winds from S, SE and preferably SW. Than the inside gets big and can give you long rides with a wall for more than one cutback. Gets crowded if it breaks. On a good day the less hollow outside is preferred by longboarders. |
|||||||
| 10 - Rocky Point | |||||||
A very well know and often crowded reef break. Works well with southerly winds, also when the northshore is getting too big. Booties might be a good idea! The outside is incredible on bigger days. Nice restaurants in the area, but you'd better store your stuff safely than just leaving it on the rocky-beach, as many people walk along there. |

| 11 - Los Lobos | |||||||
This famous wave on the small volcanic island Los Lobos can be epic! And if it comes up to a big N or NW swell with winds from S, SE or E you can watch the wave break from Fuerte! On days like these “Lobos” starts breaking directly under the old volcano and - thanks to several fast and walling sections – goes on and on along the island! This spot is only reachable by boat and because of the close cliff, the strong current and the shallow water this wave is beauty and beast at same time! If it breaks its crowded from early in the morning! For experienced surfers only! |
